We the Global Media Studies Magnet at Grover Cleveland Charter High School, were recognized by the LAUSD Human Relations Commission for organizing the International Youth Media Day.
This event took place on March 9, 2019 countless hours were put in by GMS Staff, The T.I.M.E. Board, T.I.M.E. Club, and Club Connections.
The event had performances by the Northridge MS Mariachi, Northridge MS Drumline, and the Pacoima Singers in addition to our very own talented cavaliers. Food was provided by local vendors, Fashion Photography Training by Canon U.S.A. , and items donated by NBC Universal for our silent auction.
This event not only took place in Los Angeles, California, but in Pakistan, Greece, Nepal, Croatia, Italy and 15 other countries. The Youth of the world came together for one glorious intercultural glorious celebration to show the power of youth, media and the arts to communicate, inspire and entertain.
It has been said “it takes a village” and this event sure did, we are honored to have received this recognition and would like to thank the community for being a part of our International Youth Media Day.
