International Youth Media Day

Saturday, March 7 2020

International Youth Media Day is a glorious intercultural festival with live video streaming from more than a dozen participating countries, an art gallery, and live student performances. Young people around the globe show the power of youth, media and the arts to communicate, inspire and entertain. Since 2006, the International Youth Media Summit (IYMS), which was founded at Cleveland Charter High School, has been bringing together young people from around the world. Together they build bridges across cultures, collaborating on media pieces that challenge their generation to take responsibility for the future. International Youth Media Day is a chance to celebrate their accomplishments and generate support for the program. Students from Cleveland Charter High have been participating in IYMS’s summer events since its inception. IYMS partners with UNESCO, UNICEF and other U.N. organizations.
