Mock Interviews

An important component of the Linked Learning program is ensuring all students are work-ready by the end of the junior year, preparing them for a paid internship. Eleventh grade students will earn a Work Readiness Certificate, qualifying they are work-ready, upon proficient demonstration of the following five essential work readiness skills:

1) Job Application/Cover Letter

2) Resume Writing

3) Interviewing and Workplace Etiquette

4) Financial Literacy

During our Mock Interviews, members of the community volunteer to interview our students. The adult volunteers review student resumes, ask the students interview questions, grade their performance on a rubric, and then give them direct feedback at the end of the process.

Students who participate in these Mock Interviews report feeling much more prepared and confident for real-world interviews.

Our Mock Interviews Went Virtual in 2021
