Senior Portfolio Defense

Another important component of the Linked Learning program is the Senior Portfolio Defense process. During the second semester of their senior year, students work with their teachers to create a portfolio of work from their 9-12th grade years. The portfolio provides an opportunity to reflect on their growth throughout high school. It also prepares them for the presentation part of the process.

In the late Spring, students prepare a comprehensive presentation highlighting the skills that they have gained and how they are prepared for life after high school. This presentation is given to a panel of teachers where students can demonstrate their ability to reflect and analyze on their growth, as well as showcase their presentation skills.

While this is an extensive process, students leave the presentations with a clear and deep understanding of how their time in high school has truly prepared them for college, career, and civics.
